New G27Q - too much light bleed?

Hopefully below are two pics, one with the lights on and one off of my new monitor (G27Q) next to my old monitor (some old Benq 1080p panel). I'm rather surprised at how much light bleed I'm getting around the edges when anything is dark there, the older panel is so dark when it is supposed to be dark you can barely see it in the photo. The two photos are as close via iso settings as I can get to what my eyes see, the lack of focus is because I'm an impatient noob. Both monitors were displaying the same 48 hours of black screen youtube vid with the newer panel on the left glowing like a beast compared to the older panel. Is this usual or do I need to raise an RMA?

Doesnt look great, Id RMA for peace of mind, I mean, you cant unsee it now.
