New G502x

The new mouse the switches feel solid over the older version, the only thing that I don't like is there is a second button on the top middle that can press against the finger, having the sniper button removable is great, having no weights doesn't bother me as I never used them.
Keyboard is great no problem with that, nice and compact and works well in gaming.

I've been thinking of getting a wireless G502, there seems to be many versions of the G502, what's the difference?

I guess the G502 X Plus is newest version? is it the same as X lightspeed but with RGB?

My old G502 lightspeed right mouse button gave up on me last week so I replaced it with the X plus.
I must say the left and right mouse buttons' optical/mechanical switches are a revelation compared to the old switches. The switches have a much more positive feel to them and I much prefer them although how they age only time will tell.
The RGB lighting, while unneccssary, is really good looking. I also appreciate the mouse being lighter, I never used the weights in any previous model.
No braiding on the charging cable seems a quality step backwards, but it's not going to snag like a braided cable.
Best gaming mouse I've tried from Logitech, but very expensive.

OK, guess the only way to find out if I like it is to buy one so that's what I'll do :)

My G502 X Plus arrived today. Not tried it yet, but it is much lighter than I expected!! I had a wireless Razer mouse years ago and that was like a brick.

Are there any recommended settings in the software that I should be aware of or any tips for button settings?

So just trying out the G502 X Pro and unless I'm missing something, the software (G Hub) is terrible!

Say I have about 20 games installed, it manages to find about 6 from the scan. The others I have to add manually for profiles, however some games have an exe named "launchgame.exe" as an example.

That means my profile for that game is name launchgame.... I can't find anyway to change the name. Is there a way or are you stuck with stupid descriptions and possibly multiple named similar?

Also, is it possible to assign a button number to say G8, G7 which are default to DPI or do you have to assign a letter/number? and left/right on scroll wheel, although it allows you to assign a letter to it, that is not registered in a game?

Thanks :)

I avoid in game profiles with the GHUB software TBH.
As for the button assigning, I've not tried to reassign the DPI buttons as I use them, but I do assign the back left button to [SPACE]. Try testing your button assignment in notepad or something, if it still doesn't do the right thing in game make sure it's not swapped in a game proflie for that game.
