For you guys interested in Squad, have you tried Insurgency? It sits in that gap between arcade shooters (CoD) and sims like Arma perfectly in my opinion.

I know Squad is only early in development and is going to introduce base building and vehicles, but Insurgency might fill that gap in the mean time.
