New games like X3?

The x series being amazing although I did prefer 2 over 3.

But is there any new games of the type in development or planned?

If you mean Elite style, then got nothing for you, if you mean space flight/combat, then I'm on the X32I team; we're hoping to release in the next year or two.
It's a full scale complete conversion based around Crysis using custom controls, ships, models, voices etc.

This game looks very promising if it ever gets finished. Actually it sounds a bit to good to be true, if your a fan of Elite type games that is.

is that really first person shooter for the combat.. I think I just had a bit of sex wee..
and when's it out.

That's it no other game will do, I need this. It is the closest thing to my perfect game. Only improvement it needs. Is multiple players on one ship. That they are seriusly considering and planet action. Something they aren't including.

I assume you mean does it have a cockpit view and/or an interior FPS view without the cockpit? From what I've read, it has both.

yeah cockpit view with actual aim and shoot. Not press buttons like eve

Another game to check out in the mean time is Evochron Legends. It's from an independant developer and costs about £15 (I downloaded from Impulse).

I like the space flight/combat side of things but the trading is not great IMO. The way you customise your ship is quite innovative though.

If you try the time limited demo a little tip is to do the tutorial but then just go off and do your own thing as it doesn't count time wise.
