I'll take some either this evening or tomorrow.
So far I've put most of it together and just testing before tidying things up. i.e. cables.

Had a nightmare fitting the cooler as I didn't realise that a rubber wafer that goes on the backside of the motherboard, isn't needed for i5 processors.

Couple of pictures, nothing especially interesting... This is prior to finishing all the cabling and tidying things up. I just wanted to make sure everything was working first.

I'll take a few more pictures later when I finish the cable tidying. It's been fairly easy really as I only have one hd in there and no optical drive.

I've left it on all day doing nothing and the CPU idles at between 30 and 33c
No overclocking and the CPU fans are going at about 500rpm... it's pretty much silent even with both side panels off.

Couple more pictures of the finished build.

Obviously still needs a GPU and SSD, as i'm just using a old laptop hd at the moment.
Cable management was fairly easy but the back of the Define Mini is fairly shallow, which means the cables need to be really tight to the case.

Overclocking wise, it's still very basic at the moment.

Cpu at 4.2ghz and Ram at 2000mhz with (9-10-10-28 1N) @ 1.45v timings.

I will slowly push things up.

are you able to actually fit a gpu in there? the k2 appears to almost block the slot?

Good point and something which I hadn't really considered.
It's very very tight but should just about fit. A piece of paper fits from the top side of the pci slot (i.e. outside of plastic slot). I may need to bend the coolers fan mounting brackets as they take up about 5mm which should give me enough clearance.

How big are modern gpu's on the back side? Looks like most are just a couple of mm's larger than the pcb.

Nothing that special yet, just running 2000MHz (9-10-10-28 1N) @ 1.45v, everything else on auto. Will look to tighten up more by hopefully following some of 8packs posts.

I noticed that my cpu's keep auto slowing down, when not needed. I need to turn that feature off to really test temps

if you just run a stress test like prime then you will see what temps you will get.

in game though your not gonna see temps like prime can achieve.

what are the fans like that come with the case?

Probably slightly louder than my cpu fan but that'll mostly be because they're running at about 650 rpm compared to my cpus 550. It's all fairly silent though and I have to feel the air to really know that they are on.

I'm thinking about checking the fans directions as I didn't do this properly. I think blow in from front and out of the back? It might be setup like this already but I should double check.

What I aim for is as many fans blowing in with one out. Keeps the dust at bay.

Were you talking about your cpu heatsink fans slowing down? If they are pwm then that's normal. I have my pwm cpu fan attached to the 4 pin motherboard header so it only speeds up when needed. Keeps the system silent
