Haven't gamed in a number of years having jumped to macs. Ready to take the plunge back, but I'm very out of touch. Will be used for casual gaming, light work, escaping reality etc.

I have two 1920x1200 DVI monitors which I'll use for now and I have speakers/keyboard/mouse.

~£1000 budget - ideally less, but would consider anything for value and future proofing.

Currently have this in my basket:

Total: £983.95 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Thanks!

EDIT - Can get Windows from work.

I would be looking at a CoffeeLake i3 8350K if you want an Intel chip. They are now 4c/4t same as an old i5. Or if you want better value for money look at a Ryzen R5 1600/X cpu.

Do you have a gpu ?

The motherboard is needlessly expensive.
You've not listed a graphics card.
I think I'd just get a dvd drive rather than a blueray.
Do you plan on overclocking?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

you get free shipping, so it's right on budget
6c12t overclockable processor with 16gb ram should last you a few years yet.
the processor comes with a very decent stock cooler capable of a mild overclock, so not quite needed to spend the extra £££ on an aftermarket cooler
a 1060 6gb will be plenty for 1080p gaming
a cheaper ssd, but 275gb instead of 250gb. yes it's slower than a 960 evo you listed, but the difference is not very noticeable outside of benchmarking
nice case in comparison to your initial spec
for an extra £4, a br-rw

For the extra £10, it's worth going for the Zotac AMP (dual fan) card instead of the Mini (single fan). Not only will the AMP be cooled better but it'll also be quieter.
