New Gaming build please

Morning Gents,

Seems like a lot of people are upgrading their rigs at the moment

a friend of mine needs a new rig, going to be used for gaming

does not need: OS, Monitor, peripherals

Funds available: 800-1k (maybe push it a little if its worth it)

The hard drives in his current are old and slow so will need new ones please.

If you could recommend a spec please

Went for the older gen ryzen, just cos its a little cheaper, but could stretch to the 2600 for a couple 100 extra MHz (though it does mean potentially having to mess with the motherboard bios before it will work) , GPUs still a little more than I'd want to spend, but its a lot better than it has been recently, might even be able to stretch to a 1070ti

intel optane turns HDD with OS installed into an SSD , slightly slower but very impressive !
