Hi all, I was looking to build a new gaming system but glad i waited till NVidia announced new GPU.

I have the following components i'm thinking to make the build. Would this system be good to play pretty much all games in 4k and handle capturing footage from a PS4 and eventually PS5.

PC will be used for high end gaming and video editing.
Monitor wise i'm looking for a good 4k something that would work well with the new graphics card.

Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming (WIFI) DDR4 ATX

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x AM4

Memory: G Skill Trident Z Royal Silver 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3000MHz C16 Kit 32GB in total x2

Power Suppy: ROG STRIX 850W WHITE EDITION 80 PLUS GOLD MODULAR POWER SUPPLY

CPU Cooler: ROG STRIX LC WHITE EDITION PERFORMANCE RGB AIO CPU LIQUID COOLER - 360MM

Case: ROG STRIX HELIOS "WHITE EDITION" MIDI-TOWER ARGB GAMING CASE - WHITE TEMPERED GLASS

Graphics Card: 3090 or 3080

HD: WD 500gb M2 SSD & Samsung 1TB SSD

Case Fans: Corsaid LLI20 RGB 120mm White Triple Fans

Case Controller: Corsair commander pro fan RGB lighting control

Elgato 4K capture card

From what I have read, the case has built in triple fans at the front but are 3-pin connection. I wanted to change the case fans to all white RGB to keep the white theme. Would the Corsair commander be sufficient to do this.

Thanks all, any feedback or recommendations would be much appreciated.

Total budget around £3,000 inc monitor

Very little sense making 4K monitors.
Many models have been paper announced and hyped, but actual available products have been rare as unicorn.

MSI B550 Carbon is better priced.
(assumine you need Wifi)

3000 MHz memory is sluggish for Ryzen.
3200 MHz should be starting level and for this kind spending lots of excess for no good budget aim should be at 3600MHz.
And anyway instead of pile of small 8GB DIMMs 2x16GB kit is better for higher speeds.

Asus PSU is somewhat overpriced for standard 80+ Gold.

Also that cooler is Ridiculously Grossly Bloated overpriced.
Arctic Freezer II has beefier radiator for £100:

No sense in small NVMe.
If you're going to use that M.2 slot and spend that much excess for no good you should be keeping 1TB NVMe is minimum.
Heck, only part of that Gamer hype extra would give 2TB NVMe.
But better forget Samsungs, they're brand overpriced.

Hi, thanks for the reply and the advise. I have a wifi adaptor plugged in via USB in my current pc. But if WIFI comes with the motherboard be easier.

I only went for those x4 memory purely on the look of them tbh. I was trying to go for a white build theme, thus looking at the overpriced Asus Rog PSU

The Artic Freezer seems like a much better choice and cheaper too, I will defo look at my components list again change a few of the components listed.

Many Thanks for your advice.
