Im looking for a new gaming system for games like crysis 3, and Elder scroll: online when its out, i have about £1000 to spend and was wondering what you could come up with, this will need to involve a windows licence tho.

Are you looking for a prebuilt system or do you want to build it yourself?

That would be a decent overall gaming pc. Skyrim is not a demanding game, but crysis can bring even the best system to its knees. The above system though will handle any game with good frame rates and very high if not max graphical settings.

Are you looking for a prebuilt system or will you be building it yourself. Second option means you get more for your money.
Do you have keyboard, mouse or monitor, or do they need to be included also.
If you currently have a PC, can you list your specs and then we can see if anything can be reused, thus spending money in other areas to get a better system.

erm both are an option, depending on the deal of the pre-built / building my own, i have a monitor, and an old keyboard and mouse which i will replace at a later date, currently using a laptop so parts wont be able to be reused

This is my first spec in a while so be kind :P The 7970 is not a huge boost over the 7950 so you could save a few quid and bring it under £1000 by having a 7950 and spending that elsewhere.

A £33 case on a £1000 build i find astonishing, A Great case for a budget build but .............. £1000 is not a budget build . You need to ask yourself a question , will u need crossfire or sli in the future ? if yes then get a bigger psu is needed.

Cut back on certain aspects in order to have a decent pc. I would rather have a cheaper case but better components that actually make a difference to the performance than a fancy case with low end stuff inside.

Op did not say they wanted crossfire/sli so the psu is a decent one for single card, The motherboard is capable of crossfire/sli should he want it and the psu could be upgraded and still be less than £1k total.

I avoided the msi 7950 due to no end of problems with them despite a recent revision, Never liked Asrock boards and they are not the best, ask anyone about gigabyte, uk rma centre and generally very high quality and really spending £100 on that case is a waste, you seem to have cut back on other aspects in order to justify a pc thats more expensive and yet performs the same? yet the 7970 build is £12 more for a better pc

Explain yourself, my spec does not have lower components inside a good case, My build gives a an option to xfire 7950 and have a psu that has enough power to do so.

Its an alternative view.

Yes your build has good components but it does it will perform the same as the one I spec'd but for £80 more, As I said above there have been issue with the msi 7950 running too hot due to poor manufacturing, despite the recent revision. Gigabyte is held in higher esteem due to their quality build and UK rma center should anything go wrong. I try to stay away from OCZ these days, recent rumblings of them going downhill (they may have recovered) make me want to shy away from a company that could go soon.

I revised it in case the op would like crossfire, despite not mentioning it in his op.
