Hello people,

I decided to build a new gaming system. The budget is that of 3k Euros.

After browsing a bit, I came out with this spec. What do you think of it, any parts that you would change of.

  • EVGA GeForce GTX 980Ti Hybrid 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
  • Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - OEM
  • Corsair Dominator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black )
  • Asus Maximus VIII Hero Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
  • Corsair AX760i Digital ATX '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply (
  • Corsair Hydro H100i GTX 240mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Crucial BX100 250GB SSD SATA 6Gbps 7mm Solid State Drive
  • Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case
  • Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Thanks,
Kavalier

Hello Rowlii,

Thanks for your output. Yes I was reading on the CPU forum part that an x99 version seems to be better somehow.

Build wise, I am only in doubt with the motherboard, since I never owned an MSI board. How do they perform in terms of reliability?

Thanks again.
