New gaming build

First build in a long time as I start to move back into PC gaming.

My budget limit is around the £1500 mark and I'm looking to build a system that is solid at 1080p but can move to 1440p when I get around to sourcing a new monitor in the near future. My focus is more on performance/FPS than running at ultra settings.

I'm fairly out of the loop when it comes to hardware though so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So far I've come up with the following. Thoughts? I'm not stuck on brands, just want to build the best I can in performance for the price.

A few thoughts, cpu cooling, air or water? I've went with AM5 so that I can upgrade cpu down the line without switching on the board. Will the Asus TUF be future proof or am I better investing in a higher end board?

1 X Corsair RMx Series RM750x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (CP-9020199-UK) - £109.99
1 X Corsair 4000D Airflow Mid-Tower Case - Black Tempered Glass (CC-9011200-WW) - £94.99
1 X Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus WIFI (Socket AM5) DDR5 ATX Motherboard - £170.00
1 X AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Six Core 5.30GHz (Socket AM5) Processor - Retail - £199.99
1 X Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Dual OC 12GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card - £499.99
1 X Seagate FireCuda 520 2TB SSD PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive (ZP2000GV3A012) - £114.95

Good spot on the PSU, I'll switch out the RM750x for the 850x.

I'll check out the coolers you both mentioned today.

I've noticed that 4000d case ships with only 2 120mm fans. Should I be looking to add more fans for cooling and if so, is there a particular combo that might work best? 120mm vs 140mm and so on. The added fans will likely bump the case price up so I'm also open to recommendations for other cases.

Thanks again for all the help.

Thanks both, I like the the look of the Lancool and the positive reviews. I think this is almost wrapped up.

Lastly, I noticed that the RX 7800 XT is currently selling for the same price as the 4070 here.

Asus Dual OC AMD Radeon™ RX 7800 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 16GB GDDR6 - £499.99

How does that card stand up to the 4070 for gaming with the additional VRAM, or should I stick with my original choice?

Many thanks again
