i'm looking to build a new pc... or get a friend to do it for me... i just wanted to know if you could give me some specs for a rig around £600? £850 max. all i'm looking for is the actual tower and a new screen everything else is fine. i'm just after something that can run bf2 on full spec? it will usually be left on 24/7 so perhaps water cooling? any input grateful. thanks!!!

Its without a case and unfortunately to put one in will push it over the budget. The 3700SD could be swapped out for a 3500 venice and you could maybe get away by putting a less powerful PSU in. BF2 requires 2GB of RAM but I don't think you'll be playing it with settings THAT high at 1280x1024.

Great CPU with good mobo & fast graphics card, should run BF2 well.
1 gig ram should be good, but can go for 2 gig, but over your budget.
DVDRW is a good & quiet. HDD is plenty big. Case & PSU are good & should run system fine. Monitor is pretty good also. Gives you everything & keeps you in budget. :)

Welcome to the forums, watercooling is almost certainly not an option at this level of budget if you want a good overall gaming PC so how about this with a slight re-jig of parts as suggested by Eliminos and ACESHIGH. It comes in just about bang on the budget but includes 2gb Ram, a great monitor, great graphics card and good solid sundry components.
