New Gaming Headset - Advice needed

Currently looking around for a new surround sound gaming headset, narrowed it down to a few from my research. Will be used mainly for gaming and skype/mumble etc. music less often

Plantronics GamesCon 780 7.1
Roccat Kave Solid 5.1
Razer Kraken 7.1
Corsair Vengeance 1500 7.1
Logitech G430

Budget is anything at £80 and below (preferably lower- will only get the Kraken if its best by a long way) Build quality and comfort are pretty important for me, as I will often use it for long periods. Being able to quickly mute the mic would be handy too, but no essential. Also I don't have a soundcard, dont really want to spend £50 extra for one.

Completely open to any other options, I haven't bought a new headset for 2 years so fairly oblivious as to whats on the market now and whats best.

Any advice/recommendations appreciated!

I have both the Corsair 1500 and Roccat kave

The corsair are stereo 2.0 with virtual 5.1/7.1 and work very good so good in fact It made me want to try True 5.1 headset and that's why I bought the Roccat Kave 5.1.

For these you will need a 5.1 sound card or Onboard supporting 5.1.. The surround sound compared to the corsair is superb and the Bass from its sub-woofer is the best I have heard from a gaming headset.
Each sub has a vibration on the sub so when explosions happen the headset shakes, its not to much to put you off but a nice feel abit like a ps3 pad.

Corsair Bass is prob the only bad thing I could give it and as of right now not having Driver for Windows 8.1, Windows 8 ones work though.

So my advice would be Roccat kave plus a Asus Xonar DX or DG sound card

Good watch

Don't all USB headsets mean there is no need for a sound card though? Thanks for the reply nonetheless!

I can only vote for the Corsair one. Is they any reason why you picked them two?

Both have the same features I'm after, plus I don't like the material of the headband and cups of the 380. Also had better reviews than the Kraken.

Siberia v2 USB is also now being considered.

Struggling to pick between them
