Right, ive decided to use the formula spend more = get more - guilt = FUN!

Any objections?

dont cheap out on a case, the 900 is pap compared to some of the lian li stuf you can get for a similar price

edit and you want the freezer 7, not 64 afaik, also i wouldnt cheap on a cooler either :p (unless you only want a minimal overclock)

Nah m8, Antec 900 is amazing i wouldnt swap it for anything in its price range ... and for the CPU Cooler you wont get a minimal overclock with the freezer 7 pro i got my E6600 to 3.2GHz and idleing at 32c. There both cheap alternatives which are still very capable.

lian li all the way, quality is FAR superior
the 900 is a fad, the lian li will stand the test of time

edit: the PCG50 is also the same price as the 900, and it's bloody awesome (seen one/gone inside one) its small, stylish, and has good cooling.

one issue with that is the cpu cooler, raikiri fixed that with his by removing the HDD bays, and mounting the PSU (using velcro strips) in its place and sticking a 120mm fans as an exhaust (i think) in the PSU's place

borrow another £30 off mum and dad or sommit, imo dont scrimp on your case youll only regret it down the line

And swap out that 160GB Hitachi HDD for the 400GB Samsung Spinpoint on special (only £15 more)!

I doubt ill order within the time of the special, and ive got a monster external HDD, so im not in a great need for space.

Just realised, would it be better to get an SLI mobo such as this one...

Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi nForce 650 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

It also supports quad core, so in a few years it would be easier and cheaper to put another CPU & another 8800?

Any ideas?

in a few years the motherboard would be a few years out of date, with better ones available for similar price...you cant future proof, so dont try is my advice ;)
