Yo Guys

Any Recommendations on a new mouse as i fancy a change as i've had my G500 for a good 4/5 years now.

I used an mx518 then the G500.

Mostly play FPS games (Cs:go mainly) .. I'm loving the look of the Cougar 600m series but i've never heard of them before so wondering if anyone can offer any feedback before i spend any hard earned pennies.

Thanks

If you're familiar with Logitech, then the G400s (is basically an updated MX518) if you can find one still, or a G402.

Zowie do great mice esp for FPS games, I have about 4 versions of their mice and rly rate them! FK1 is a very popular mouse with CSGO pros/players.

Deathadder as said above is popular also! Haven't tried one myself.

Or Finalmouse 2015 is getting great reviews.

I have always fancied trying a razer product but always been a bit put off by the price. But will have a good look at them and zowie ones

I'm currently in the same boat, looking at possibly upgrading my G9X to a newer mouse. I had a Razer mouse in the past, but i probably wouldn't get one again as way too many people complain about limited lifespan.

I'm looking at the newer Logitech G402/502 mice, as well as some of the Zowie but i'm too indecisive.

Really? I've only started researching gaming mice and the death adder seems to be coming up again and again.

I view Razer as the Apple of peripherals - over-priced and underwhelming, but hey that's just my opinion and others mileage may vary.

That's not surprising since a lot of people use their products.. They are probably the most popular but that does not equate to them being the best, whether it be performance, price, or build quality.

that's how i've always seen the brand, they are supposed to be exceptional but not last as long as other brands, although with the amount of use they are under it's not really too much of a surprise.

had my Razer diamondback plasma for 10 years with heavy use before it developed a fault,
now using a deathadder chroma with fancy lighting :D, i do find the rubber side grips a bit slidey though, would prefer it was just all plastic

Razer mice are very marmite - they work great for some people not for others - I liked the sensors but could never get on with the shapes and they aren't the most robust either.

Very happy with Zowies personally - my FKs have taken more abuse than any mouse I've used in the past has stood upto and the sensors are top notch.

I've had many mice over the years, Razer, Logitech, Mionix and found the Steelseries Rival to be the best for me and for the price I'm very happy.

+1 for Zowie here but I have found that the surface can deteriote over time on mine certainly.

Never had it on any others. In saying that, I tried changing to 3 or 4 different other ones and none felt as good physically as the Zowie

Don't get on with razor mice myself. Very happy with my Logitech G502 and would recommend it. The Zowie seems very popular and is also highly rated.

Moved from an original Deathadder to a G502 and I'm very happy, I agree the sniper button is a little too easy to click but I think that's just a carryover from the way I got used to holding the Deathadder over several years, I'm sure I will adapt.

Just got Mad Catz RAT TE, I'm a fps gamer and finding it decent but the sensor is too twitchy and reacts to the slightest movement or sound from my speakers.
