New Gaming PC build and monitor tips wanted

I'm planning on getting a new gaming PC this week and I really like the sound of the Titan virtual force VR gaming PC with some modifications.

I currently game on an Xbox and PS4 and its been years since I did any serious PC gaming so my only monitor is an old 720p touchscreen monitor. I have a decent Sony Android 4K TV that I can use until I get myself a new monitor in 6 months or so. I'm planning on getting an Occulus rift as well in the next 2 weeks.

The price is £1293.05 inc. VAT

Is the spec I'm getting going to stand up OK?
Am I going to need to upgrade every year or will this last me for a couple of years?
What is the 7.1 sound card quality likely to be like?

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

That will be an excellent system and will last a number of years.

The GTX1070 is best at 1440P reslolution but the option to add a second later on in SLI is there with that PSU and motherboard.

Its not a dedicated sound card but rather onboard sound on the motherboard, it quality is ok but all depends on your expectations.

Thanks for the help Lee and Stulid. which would be better for the processor? The standard Intel i5 6600k overclocked to 4.5GHz, the i7 6700k sky lake 4.0 GHz or is there no real noticeable difference between them and the Intel i5 6600k 3.9 GHz?

Also you mention that best resolution is 1440p. Would this GPU be able to handle 4K on medium to high settings?

It's also been a while since I plugged a decent PC into a TV and from what I remember from my old 1080p TV set, the quality was pretty poor. Now I've got a decent 4K to am I likely to see similar results or is there likely to be a marked step up and will the games be more playable?

The overclocked i5 would be better in more games than the i7, if both were stock or same speed then the i7 is better.

As for 4K it depends on the game as some look simple and others have simpler looking graphics.

I'm going to get the PC above with the overclocked 4.5 GHz i5 but I can't decide between the Gigabyte Gforce GTX 1070 8Gb or the OcUK GeForce GTX 1070 Founders edition.

Which is better and has the most bang per Buck? Does anyone have any links to any comparisons/reviews.

I also know this will sound daft but is this build going to have a network card etc?

Hey there,

The OcUK founders edition card is basically the same as any other founders edition card, depending on which Gigabyte 1070 you're talking about there is no difference between the Gigabyte and OcUK founders edition cards but the other versions have different coolers and slightly higher clock speeds.

Because it isn't a selectable option if you wanted to add a wireless card you can call the customer service team or post in the customer service section about adding one and how much you would want to spend on it.
