Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum but I've heard this is the place to get the best build advice. :)

I've got a 5 year old build and I've been out of the hardware scene for a while so not really up the current generations.

I'm looking for a gaming machine. Need Case, PSU, Motherboard, CPU, Memory, Graphics Card and new Monitor.

My budget is £800.

Only preferences I have is I want an nVidia as I'm sick of my current ATI drivers. A good amount of memory would be useful, I do programming at home so 8Gb minimum for Visual Studio and Win8.

I've heard good things about Ivybridge but like I said before, been out of the game for too long to have much of an opinion on that.

Any advice would be appreciated.

That's awesome suggestion guys. Thanks for your replies.

I don't need a HDD or DVD drive so I've ditch those. After some thought, I decided a 120Hz monitor would be a good investment. I know I've gone over budget now but the monitor feels worth the investment. Is this a good monitor for 120Hz?

Does anyone know if this graphics card is up to the job of supporting the 120Hz monitor?

Anything else I've missed?
