Hi All,

My daughter is starting UNI in 3 weeks and we need a new PC for her.

The budget is £1000 and does not need to include OS, keyboard, speakers, mouse/keyboard and monitor.

Our hope is that we can get something that will run Warzone, Valorant, Genshin, League of Legends.

Appreciate that this is fairly vague, but anything you can suggest from OCUK that is prebuilt would be great.

Thanks,
Kribby.

Slightly over budget but this is the best I could find, would be inclined to go with the higher priced build as the 6700XT is around 25% faster and £300 more than the 6600XT on ocuk to buy as a stand alone GPU yet only works out 50 quid extra on these prebuilds so makes sense to go with it.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • 1 x OcUK Gaming Kestrel Micro-ATX Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5600X, AMD Radeon Graphics = £1,064.10
    • Case:Kolink Citadel Glass SE ARGB Micro-ATX Gaming Case - Black
    • Primary Solid State Drive (M.2):WD Blue SN550 1TB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS100T2B0C)
    • Secondary Solid State Drive (M.2):Unwanted
    • Primary 2.5" Solid State Drive:Unwanted
    • Secondary 2.5" Solid State Drive :Unwanted
    • Operating System:Unwanted
    • Security Software:Unwanted
    • Memory:Kingston Fury Beast 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C17 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit
    • Graphics Card:Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 XT Nitro+ RGB Gaming 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card
  • 1 x OcUK Gaming Kestrel Micro-ATX Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5600X, AMD Radeon Graphics = £1,114.10

I would upgrade hard drive to WD Black 1TB SN750 M.2 2280 NVME PCI-E Gen3 Solid State Drive for extra 15 pounds from the drop-in menu. Think it is worth it.

Joxeon's suggestions are solid. 5600x is good choice, should be good with top end GPU's for atleast 5 years. Make sure you get an Nvme M.2 boot drive and I would seriously think about adding some HDD storage for downloads, documents etc.

Slightly? You've specified something more than DOUBLE the budget the OP specified.

I think he gave two pc builds as variants. I do not know why it shows the total price for both but when I follow the links each points to a singe PC build. Also prices have changed a bit.

I'd go 6700xt every time...buying separately the 6600xt cost £430ish, but the 6700xt start £699ish...
Can you upgrade the psu to something better in the pre builds?like bronze to gold?

Thanks again all. Like the look of the second option Joxeon has posted. Looking at the Gfx card looks decent also. I'm still on a GTX 1070 and by comparison the 6700xt looks great (appreciate my card is old).

Maybe a good shout on the PSU Craig, maybe I can call and see if it can be swapped.
