I am looking at investing in a new gaming pc - but only have about 600 quid to spend on hardware and about 200 on the peripherals. can anyone point me in the right direction? Personal experiences with replies would be nice :)

thanks peeps!

• The board does 8X/8X SLI/Crossfire - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/z68xp-ud3-dz68db,review-32228.html
• The case -
• The PSU is modular and will easily power a pair of 6950 cards.
• High quality mouse+keyboard.

looks pretty good - how is that setup fps wise? (battlefield3, css etc)
any ideas on headset? surface? i want something thats gonna keep me stable with frames ingame, what about overclocking, any personal experiences on the mentioned hw?

Frame rate, you can see how a 6950 2GB card compares amongst others here, (the test system they used is slightly slower than a i5 2500K, so expect a bit more) - http://www.guru3d.com/article/vga-charts-spring-2011/

Overclocking, well 4.5Ghz is easy, I included a good heatsink to replace the stock item.

No idea on headset/surface, maybe just get a 2.1 speaker system - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-151-CL&groupid=702&catid=22&subcat=1920

edit... these are meant to be good - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-000-BB&groupid=702&catid=32&subcat= http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18066093&highlight=Boogie+Bug
