I am buying my first true gaming pc at the moment
Currently these are my chosen Pc specs:
Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket 1155 Processor - Retail
Phanteks PH-TC14CS CPU Cooler - Silver
Asus P8Z77-V PRO Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz CAS9 Memory Kit
Gainward GeForce GTX 680 2048MB GDDR5
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM
OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)
Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional Soundcard
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Firstly I would like to know if these specs are good enough for what I need them for (high end gaming,video editing,graphics editing etc).
As you can see no case or power supply has been chosen, this is simply because I do not know what is need. I would like a case that has good airflow and is suited for long time use. For the power supply advice on what wattage I need would be good.
Other things I would like to know
Should I overclock?
if so do I need a liquid cooled cooler?
Really any advice on this build will be welcomed and I do have a large budget but lets not go over excessive (higher than £1800).
Also I an change these specs if necessary.
