Hey,

As the title says I think it's time to upgrade my system.

Budget is £5000 if needed.

Thinking
9800x3d.
5090.
Aorus master x870E.
64mb ram.
2 x gen 5 nvme (one as windows drive and other for games).
Hydroshift aio
Lian Li Edge 1200w psu
Havn vgpu case
TL LCD Lian Li wireless fans etc

Think that's it

System is purely for gaming but looking to get something that is future proof for next 5+ years. Don't really over clock past turning xmp on and letting RM be in charge of CPU clocks etc.

Cheers

You could save some money is areas if you wish too.

- Gen 5 storage for games, gen 3 or 4 would still be fast enough and the same for the OS as I think gen 5 nvme drives are quite expensive
- 32GB of ram is fine these days for gaming unless you are running heavily modded games.

Not sure if you are aware but for the ram you want to be looking at EXPO ram, XMP Is for Intel Systems.

apart from that the system looks good and still would be an amazing system if you stuck to your options

Memory should be expo 6000mhz C30 which is optimal for AM5.

Don't pay silly money for gen 5 nvme drives as there will be no benefit in gaming as yet, a decent pcie4 m2 is fast enough.

Id probably get the Lian Li EDGE 1300w 80 Plus Platinum for £199

Pretty nice mobo.

Been looking at reviews and a lot say the MSI x870e carbon wifi is a great mobo so thinking of that or Aorus Master. I mean I do like Asus but aint paying Asus tax
