ive been reading this foum for a long time, but i think i need some ideas for you lot on what to do with my new gaming rig.

i have £1400 to spend on Mobo, processor, ram, SSD, GPU and monitor.

Already have 1000w psu (enough power for SLI :)), corasir H100 and NZXT Phatom so dont want to upgrade these.

I would like a 2560, 1440 monitor if possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how big you need the SSD to be, or if you'd be ok with 8GB memory (which is fine for gaming). You can change things around to squeeze two GPU's in. The above is just my personal choice based on what I'd want to start off with.

if your going to go 4k get 2 x 290x
have u tried 3d gameing ?

i think your better of waiting for the new gpus and the new intel processors are out soon new haswell and ddr4 is out this year

Don't need to upgrade right away, my current rig is 4-5years old and lacking in performance! I can only afford to upgrade once every 4years so I need to future proof as much as possible!

i would wait to upgrade till the new haswell comes out but get a ssd would wait and go full custom water cooling i have lots of spare water cooing bits laying around if u need any

where abouts are u from ?

Norwich. Always been dubious about water cooling, does it make a big difference to GPU and mobo performance?

When is the new haswell due?
