New gaming rig, just need a few pointers

Hey!, been reading these forums for weeks, finally got myself registered :)

Ive been looking at getting a new rig for a while now. I havn't touched the hardware side of things in about 3-4 years so ive been reading up whats ive missed since then from the bucket loads of info from these forums, and come up with a list of components. Im just wanting some views on what ive chosen, also have a few quick questions, would be grateful for any replies.

CPU: Q6600
Motherboard: Asus P5KC
RAM: GeIL 2GB PC6400 800MHz
HD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB
Case: Antec 900 gaming
Power Supply: Corsair 520w
Also fancy a 8800GT 512mb once in stock

Ive heard that the case is a magnet for dust, so im guessing some filteres would be in order. Would these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-043-AK work? with them being a different brand, guessing/hoping filters are universal, one fits all etc
Also ive heard of people having probs with the placement of the power supply. The power cable length can be a bit short when trying to hook it up to the motherboard. I know theres a few extension cables available from ocuk, any idea which one would be compatible for my rig?

Or should i just move those questions to the 'Case' forums? :confused:

I had 1 of them cases.If u are going water cooling after a bit u may find it hard to fit it all in.also the dust problem was a bit of a problem.people recommend putting some sort of filter behind the front cover,any sort of filter will do as long as it does its job but it does look pritty for the price and the blue lights looks cool on the night.But the main problem i had was the big fan on the top of it decided to stick now and again.

The 900 comes with 3 120mm fans as stock and a 200mm fan, it is also optional to have 2 more 120mm fans (side + middle).

Do you have a budget at all for use to play around with?

Thats just what id do to the spec :) otherwise its ok.
