Change that OCZ RAM to the Kingston one that's on offer. Saves £25.
If you can wait a little (as I keep saying in other threads) then get a Coolermaster 520W Real Power PSU, it's currently out of stock at the moment. 500W is more than enough for your spec. Saves £20.
Totally get a new monitor. When I went from 17" to 24" widescreen it was bliss. Might not be able to keep the fps up with the 4850, but even then I'd say it's worth it.
Well, you can get the OCUK value 24" for <£200 delivered, so if you could get near that for the old one I would (only because I can't live without the real estate now!)
lose the raptor and raid some cheaper ones
get the ATi 4870 if your getting a better monitor (24")
change the CPU to E8500 depending how well that motherboard overclocks
swap the OCZ ram for Kingston ram.
Trying to stick to your original budget and include a new, better monitor. I've replaced the intel CPU with the new AM3 X3 720 CPU, performs to similar levels of the faster intel dual cores, but costs less. They also have an unlocked multiplier, so for overclocking it's just a case of increasing this. The new CPU's are backwards compatible with AM2+ mobo's, so will work with the one I've shown (according to the asus website aswell). The above spec has a better graphics card and the cheaper ram. The samsung hard drives are still very fast and wont create as much noise as the raptor.
It depends, could be a duff core and that's why its been disabled, or it could be a perfectly good x4 that had to be sold as a tri. I wouldn't buy it counting on the forth core though.
