Building a new gaming rig, haven't built a decent computer for about 3-4 years so I'm a bit behind on "whats good" and what isn't for certain things so though I'd post here and get some opinions. Current list is;

Antec 1200 Twelve Hundred Full Tower Case,
Always like Antec cases, would prefer a Thermaltake Armour but this is quite similar.

Intel Core i7 950 Bloomfield 45nm, 3.06 GHz, QPI 4.8GT/s, 8MB Cache, 23x Ratio, 130W,
i7 just because.. =P

850W Corsair HX Series, Modular, 80 PLUS Silver, 90% Eff', SLI/CrossFire, EPS 12V,
Not sure wether this will be enough but can always switch it out for a 1000w version.

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2, Intel X58, S1366, SLi/Xfire PCI-E 2, DDR3 2200<, USB3 & SATA 6Gb/s
Heard good things about this coupled with the i7 chips.

1GB Gigabyte GTX 460 OC, 3600MHz GDDR5, GPU 715MHz, Shader Clock 1430MHz, 336 Cores, DL DVI/ mHDMI
This is where I usually slip up. Will mostly be playing games/watching HD movies and I want to be able to run most games on the highest settings. Can always get two of these to run in SLI.

8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.50V
Never bought Corasir before but apparently the timings on this and the amount (for the price) is pretty good.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler Intel 775/1155/1156/1366 AMD 939/AM2/AM2+/AM3
Planning to overclock so an aftermarket cooler is a must.

200mm Antec BIG BOY 200 Manual 3 Speed Fan
Because the antec 1200 doesn't come with one.

120mm Antec TriCool Blue LED Manual 3-speed switch 3-pin & 4-pin
Just for extra intake/exhaust if needed.

Running total is about £950 willing to go about £200ish more if it'll improve the rig.
Opinions, criticism and improvements welcome.

Also, before anyone points out. I don't need any new HDDs or peripherals or anything like that. Already have what I need in that department.

As RJC says if you want i7 9 series then RAM needs changing, personally I would go SB and get a better gfx card for gaming

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) £97.99
Titan Fenrir Evo CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA1366/AMD K8/AM2/AM2+/AM3) £36.76
Sub Total : £841.40

Are the i5's any good for overclocking? How far do you think I could push it before the need for watercooling? I'm always for getting more out of a chip for my money.
