Hey,
Looking to upgrade my current rig, built in 2011, primarily for gaming.
Here is the spec;
Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "GOOD Edition" 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-E
Intel Core i7-2600 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION
Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply
Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Cooler Master HAF 922 Case - Black
Corsair Hydro H50-1 High-Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel
Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)
Id like to keep the case and PSU and replace the rest. I want it to be as future proof as possible so when it comes to the next upgrade i can just keep it small.
Budget is £1200 but it is flexible if necessary.
I have had a good look but there is so much choice these days I got a little lost! Looks like DDR4 and 2011 sockets are the latest tech, is it worth going that route to get the most life out of the machine? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks in Advance.
Jack
