Looking to replace my old PC (Q6600 cpu with 5770 gfx). Not interested in building it myself so been looking at the pre-built systems and the system configurator. What I want is a 240+ gb ssd, with at least a 500gb 2nd hd. Graphics was considering the nvidia 670 which seems to be an excellent card.

Having read the forums it seems like an I5 should be pretty much as good as an I7 for gaming purposes. Guess I would want 8gb+ of ram. While the system configurator no longer has any SSD that match my requirements looking at the website it looks like if I call OCUK they will let me use a different one.

Looking at the full systems something like a titan photon looks like a good starting point, or would it be better to go for a full custom build?

While not essential it would also be nice if the system was reasonably quiet. The current machine is fine in 2d, but when the 5770 gets worked it gets rather loud.

Recently just upgraded my monitor to a widescreen. Can use my existing keyboard and mouse so dont need them.

I will need OS with it as my existing PC just has the OEM version of vista and a recovery partition.

As for building it myself, I really do not have the inclination, I would rather just pay a company to build the PC then if theres a problem I can get them to fix it rather than if I build it in which case I need investigate etc.

I agree with everyone here. Build it yourself. I bought my components and it cost £700. I didn't have a problem putting it together. Its also a lot cheaper so you can choose between saving money of buying better components.

However if you really want it prebuilt....

Whats the budget anyay?
