New GD53 no post

Anyone have any ideas? I have ordered another mobo to test whether it may be the mobo or not. Feels like I didn't have any other option, if it doesn't boot with the new mobo I will more than likely have to RMA the CPU.

Any more advice would be much appreciated in these desperate times.

Sorry to bring up old thread, however I have RMA'd the motherboard and it was found to be faulty. They are now sending me out a new one. Just in case someone else gets the same problem.

Don't suppose you know what the fault was? My MSI GD65 had exact same problem refused to post, now got GD55 today from totally different shop which is dead too :mad:

once is bad luck, twice is a coincidence.

have you giot the extra CPU power plugged in?

Not installation issue, the RMA now emailed me the board bios was faulty and backup bios didn't get a chance to kick in so both failed rendering board dead.

It be interesting to see what the other shop comes back with (thought i try elsewhere in case bad batch)

Now on 3rd board gone for new Asus Z68 finally it works!
