Mornin !

Have a nice little bonus of around £500 to upgrade.

Going to probably base it around a Intel Core 2 Duo 6600, but i need some advice on a pucker Motherboard and 2 Gig of DDRII 800mhz RAM.

Need some suggestions please, i am a newcomer to overclocking but i would like to start to try.

Any advice is well received.

Welcome to the forums, I'm assuming the £500 budget is to include the Conroe chip as well, if not the advice might change slightly. If you only need the CPU, motherboard and Ram then this is what I'd suggest, sticking about as close to the budget as possible. Oh and the CPU is on pre-order only at the moment but the retail version comes in at around £10 more so it depends how urgently you want the system whether waiting is an option.
