My friend is in search of components to make up his pc:

I am looking to buy a custom computer that is under 600 pounds. It does not really need the best, just enough for it to run usual games like Minecraft without any problems, but also if possible goood games like MW3, even if i have to use Low Settings though. I already have a mouse, a keyboard, case, and a monitor. I just need the components really.

Tks for all the help :)

Much closer to £600 if you take out the optical drive, which you may well not want.
I know the SSD is SATA-II but doubt you will notice the difference, its the access time that you really want it for.
256GB for £100 is a really good price, but 128GB is fine if you don't have large games you want to load faster.
Speced a HDD with 1TB storage, please say if 500GB is all thats needed.

Something seems to have gone wrong with the shipping costs.
This hard drive has a 3 year warranty, but costs an extra £8.
That spec looks pretty good for the price.

One other option is to spend the spare money on a non overclockable i5 for £40 more.

Dont get SSD, get i5 3570K instead... as time goes you can always pop in an SSD which will get cheaper and cheaper... While you would have to chuck out old CPU to put new one... + you can have fun overclocking with 3570

Me and my friend live in Malta so those shipping costs are right for us. We just calculated the price of 600 pounds excluding the shipping price because in actual fact his budget is 650.
