Hi guys,

I have just upgraded from a 4850 to a 5850, I am struggling to find any decent graphics games to whirl it on - only tried Mafia 2 and bad company 2 so far.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What's the rest of your system? GTA 4 is quite good and EFLC is worth it for Gay Tony alone. Needs a quad core really

Is it not a bit backwards to buy the graphics card then try and find games to show it off?

Surely you buy a graphics card when you find your old one struggles, not just randomly? :p

You'll struggle to find much though, graphical development has slowed somewhat IMO, there is more power available than is needed. I think this is part of the reason nVidia and AMD have gone off on 3D and Multiscreen tangents, as last generations cards are still perfectly capable for 90% of gamers.

A few times i've thought about a 5850 or a GTX460 and then just think... why? Nothing I play has troubled my GTX260, so what's the point?

Same here at the moment, my 260 is doing fine. I only really play TF2 / GTA4 / L4D / Grid etc, which all fly on it.

When Half Life 3 comes out, I'll get a new pc

pfft, I'm still running an HD4670 @1280x1024 . Maxes out Crysis no problem :D

Anyway, games to stress a 5850..Metro would be the one.

Otherwise, there are some interesting games to look forward to this year: F1 2010, Crysis 2, Civ 5..

Well, my 4850 was not quite cutting mafia 2 as much as i'd liked :(

ie the mission in china town, it was running at <10FPS but the rest of the game was fine.

( however runs fine on my 5850 )

Thanks for the input though, going to try a few of the above - keep it rolling if you think of anymore, i was struggling going through game websites trying to find anything decent looking.
