I just picked up a 2nd hand card (1080ti) it stress tests with no problems but I have a problem with booting to green screen and wanted to know if anyone has any idea what it is and if it's fixable.
When I boot into windows login with dual monitor setup, I get a green screen with a garbled mouse.

I can still login, and if I select 'Second screen only' and then back to 'Extend' with window+p the screens refresh normally and work (see pics).
I thought it might be a problem with the HDMI port on the GPU or the HDMI cable so I used a HDMI to the DVI cable into DVI on the GPU instead, it works fine but I get exactly the same result.
I never had this problem with previous GPU, so I don't think it's a monitor problem.
So I'm unsure if there is anything I can do, why would it fail to display correctly at boot and display no problem after a refresh?
I'm considering returning the card, I got it very cheap so I'm reluctant to in all honesty since 1080ti prices are through the roof now..
[edit] Have done full safe mode DDU driver uninstall and reinstalled drivers again, no difference.
