I currently have a 5870 running at stock, it has always been a good card, I bought a Hazro HZ27WC a while ago now and you might of seen me in the massive hazro thread moaning about having no BIOS displayed.
It's looking like I will be having to get a new GFX card in order to fix this, I don't want to have to spend the money but I'm getting fed up of not being able to get into my BIOS and having to disconnect my monitor from my machine to even boot!
So the question stands what would be worth upgrading to with a budget of about £350
Clearly the 7 series ATI cards are just too expensive and reading all the info on the new NVIDIA stuff I didn't really want to upgrade before these where out.
I'm also running a I7 920 at stock with 6Gb DDR3 and game at 2560 x 1440, I have noticed my 5870 struggles a bit on some games but nothing major.
What would you do? Would you just buy a new card and be done with it because of the BIOS issues? or would you hold out until either
1) AMD release a firmware fix for the BIOS issue for the 5870 (fat chance)
or
2) Take the plunge and buy a new card?
or
3) Hold out for the new NVIDIA cards and wait for price drops and again do without the BIOS or rebuilding
Suggestions welcome because I am getting quite fed up with this issue.
