New GMMK Pro - mechanical keyboard

Word on the Glorious discord is the ISO could be delayed to Q3+ which is supposedly what the "target always was" and retailers are just being too ambitious. So, I really do doubt July is on the cards for ISO models, even black.

Hopefully the Keychron Q1 can come to market this month, it'll be cheaper anyway.

ANSI is likely to make it to UK shores maybe this month or next. Just US stock "diverted".
 
Hi guys,

We've had the eta's pushed back to mid July for the Black 75% and mid August for the White 75%.

Any more info I'll let you guys know!
 
Was told that my order wont be covered with the batch expected 16/07 hopefully I get it for August. (Black ANSI Version)

I have also been told the same. They only have 70 units of the black ansi coming in July and basically anyone that preordered it after April will be in the 2nd batch. They have no idea when the 2nd batch will be either so we could be waiting quite a few months before we even see it unfortunately.

It's annoying to me because I cancelled my reservation with Glorious in favor of ordering from OCUK so I didn't have to pay import tax the reality now is that if I had kept my reservation it would've been shipped by now.

Yeah it seems to be a big queue. I've cancelled my order and gonna look at some group buys. I've already have the Ikki68 Aurora coming in this month.
 
Cancelled my order and actually going to have a run with the GMMK TKL. Upside to the TKL is no annoying non-standard keycaps. Downside is obviously lower quality build, 3 pin board and less opportunity for modding/getting better stabs.

But I'll save a bit of money just now, mod it as best as I can, enjoy a slightly better ISO UK keycap range not needing non-standards and I'll wait and see how the Keychron Q1 compares to the GMMK Pro.

I ordered a white ISO version on the dasy the pre-orders went live in March. Would I likely be getting mine in August/September then or should I look to cancel and look at another board? What date is the Keychron Q1 supposed to be released?

I presume you'd be one of the first to get the white whenever it first arrives. Cross your fingers for the mid August ETA I guess. If the black gets pushed back again then I would guess the white will as well.

Q1 is supposed to be aiming for a July release, but I'd brace for August.
 
I ordered the ANSI version, just used to the layout after using an ANSI keyboard for so long. I wonder if that's why there isn't going to be stock to cover my order, I can imagine they have a lot more ISO orders than ANSI.

Don't know where the rumour of 70 has come from.

I've got 200 on order and don't know if any reason I won't be getting them all.

I'd just wait and see how it pans out.

Not long to wait now til august as silly as it sounds. Tempus fugit

I'd assume the Rumour comes from the following, this was my reply to a web message, this was asked in regards to the black ANSI version.


Dear Simon

Unfortunately Simon it appears we have 70 Units due to arrive with us on the previously mentioned ETA of the 16th but you are currently in queue position 77, meaning we won't be able to fulfil your order on this date but we will be fulfilling your order on the next available restock date. If you feel this wait is too long and would no longer wish to continue with your order, please advise and me or one of my colleagues will action your decision as soon as it is possible.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Aye this is exactly what I was told but over the phone, not a rumour, just info I've relayed on from the contact support team. Really do hope that Glorious has sent more than 70 especially considering they are now selling them as normal on their own site. Ofc they'll sell out on their end but if it wasn't for the import tax or etc I would have been tempted to get it shipped from them. Would rather get it from ocuk though anyway due to great service and doubt I'd actually save any more, just have to wait longer and be patient :)
 
I only preordered recently as I thought if there was huge demand this would be reflected in the expected date being pushed back.. Fingers crossed there's enough stock coming for everyone as I should have both the caps and switches I want to use arriving by the end of this week!
 
Got my GMMK TKL, it's pretty decent. Obviously not a Pro, but I think I'm happy to main this for a while. Not a fan of the floating switch design, but it's not bad.

One bonus is standard keycaps all over with TKL. I'd love to see a Pro TKL. It's almost a TKL already, but a few non-standard keycaps and a few missing.

The Gateron Pro switches that are new for this year are also pretty nice. They seem to be pre-lubed and with a few small upgrades over regular Gaterons. Seems yellows are the perfect switch for me, compared to my Cherry Reds there is basically no scratchiness now.

Any update on whether you're going to have enough stock come in to cover all of the Black ANSI orders?
 
Hopefully get some sort of update soon.
I cancelled my flex batch with Glorious in favour of ordering through ocuk in May, so fingers crossed that enough stock arrives next week.
