new gpu advice please

At the mo am using a single 4890. playing crysis again after a long brake, but with mid setting am only getting av 30-35 fraps.1920/1200 no aa would running two in crossfire be better or sell the 4890 and grab a 5870?

If you can afford the 5870 then definitely get it, such a good card! Will beat CF 4890s and carries Dx11 with it

Like bJN said if you can afford it the 5870 would be better. If you'd rather get the 4890 you should be able to run it very well still though.

I really don't think it will out perform (at least often) cf 4890's, bearing in mind they out do a 295gtx by a fairly small margin and more often than not the 295 edges the 5870 . Otherwise, the advantage of the single gpu for driver optimisation and dx11, lower heat output and a somewhat quieter cooler by most accounts make it an attractive consideration.
