Hi there, i'v recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu and was wondering if its worth upgrading my ati cards as at the moment im running 2x 5870 in crossfire at 920/1250 and was wondering what those speeds would be the equivalent of in a single card and would it be worth changing. I'm mostly just tired of all the issues that come with crossfire but would it really be worth it changing to a single card and would there be much of a performance increase.

Thanks.

A HD 7950 should give the same if not a bit more performance.

It all depends what your budget is and what you use your setup for.

If you can hang on until the next gen of cards launch that would be a good time to upgrade.

£300-£400 probably providing its worth the upgrade.

As Kaapstad said a 7950 would be a small upgrade (from where your xFire scales well) remember that not all games scale well if at all in xFire, in such situation a 7950 would double your performance and for less heat / power consumption.
