New GPU advice

Hi guys,

I have a 7990 and want to upgrade to an nvidia GPU.

What would be the best way to spend £400.00 to that end.

Or is there an AMD GPU that is so much more powerful for the same money I should go down that road.

Thanks

Marv

If you could find another £100 it would be worth it to get a 980Ti imo. It's easily faster than the 7990, which I'm not sure the 390X/980 are without huge overclocks. In my opinion I would avoid the 390X. It's pretty old hardware now as it's the 290X with a different name pretty much.

If you can't stretch another £100, the soon to be released Fury (not the X version which is already out) is another option. Should be £450 max but hopefully closer to £400. It seems to really suffer at 1080p though currently, where a factory OCd 980 will easily match it, that could possibly change with drivers. It gets better at higher resolutions where the extra bandwidth stretches it's legs.

That's great.

As always thank you very much guys.

Looking like the 980Ti I'd say.

Just need to have a few weekends in to cover the extra £100.00 :)
