hello

my evga 970 sc died last night and looking at the gtx 1050ti however i noticed the msi gaming r9 390 in the b grade section.

was wondering what would be the better of the 2 models

TIA

1050Ti is a lot slower than the 970, while 390 is about the same performance( even slightly faster ) than the 970 and has 8GB of memory( against 4GB for the nvidia counter-parts ), i don't see the point of buying a card slower than what you had, beside the 390 gives you access to freesync monitors, which is a huge + for a modest setup.
but then again 1050ti brand new crad and the 390 is B market, that's something to consider, there is risk.

budget is about £200 max. however bear in mind i dont play any games on pc myself and my children only play games like minecraft, roblox and browser based games
