Looking to upgrade and seeing I can probably get away with just a new gpu and cpu current relevant parts are

Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 650W 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply

Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming AMD X470 (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard

Team Group Xtreem T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C18 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080TI 11264MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card

AMD Ryzen 7 Eight Core 2700 4.10GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail

Looking at a 7800XT most probably but bit confused on cpu do I really need a 5800x3d or something like a 5700x be fine
 
depends on the price difference also. I have the 5800x cpu and it's great. the 5800x3d truly beats it though in gaming. 5800x beats it outside of gaming.
you may struggle a bit with 16gb ram also. you might want to boost that to 32gb
Look at the 7900gre..now it's been fixed by AMD so to speak, it can get some great raw raster performance, and it's not that much more than a 7800xt...guessing others have watched the yt below, OCuk sold 5 of them today already and they only have 3 diff ones..saphire pulse is available for £529 elsewhere, nice looking 3 fan gpu if you go that way. Here for £549 if you want to look
