rest of the rig

Inwin A1 case with built in 650w gold psu(the bottleneck)
MItx strix x570-
ryzen 3600
32gig ram
2x sabrent rocket nvme drives

i know i will be pushing the boundaries a bit but any issues with dropping something like the new 3080 in

What model psu do you have ?

Part of the case - from a quick Google it comes with a 5 year warranty, so Inwin had more faith in it than standard budget units. From my very quick look I can't find any data - but it should have info on the outside of the PSU.

@EsaT or @pastymuncher will probably be able to allay or raise your fears - depending on their thoughts/knowledge of the unit.

Apart from it has a 54A 648w 12v rail and Inwin has enough faith to give it a 5 year warranty there is practically zero information on the IW-GD650PS PSU that I can find anywhere.

Would be sensible to wait some for reviews and possible competition information.
Would except more RDNA2 and Big Navi leaks to start coming soon and possibly some announcements.
At least maintaining complete "EMCON" would only play into Nvidia's pocket with Nvidia's "pre-emptive" pricing.

Cpu 100w
All other 100w
Ryzen 3600 is 65W TDP CPU.
And without HDDs, optical drive etc it's doubtfull other than CPU+GPU consume even 50W.

3600 under load consume near 80w _ 90w, I was allowing some headroom

I doubt any of the new nvidia cards will fit. they big and fat. take a look at thre images on ocuk forum announcements
