Hey guys,
Ended up buying a gtx1660 super for the kids PC which arrived yesterday. Took out the old GTX 780 (and sold it) and then installed the new card.
As soon as windows gets to desktop, it reboots and constantly does this over and over. I’ve changed pci power cables, uninstalled drivers with DDU, even reinstalled windows. Same problem.
Now I have already ordered a replacement but something just feels weird about this to me. I actually connected it to my main monitor via display port cable and the problem seemed to go away. Maybe this was a coincidence for 10 minutes but 10 minutes is better than 10 seconds. When I went back to the kids TV and connected with HDMI the problem returned. Could a faulty HDMI cause this issue?
Can’t swap out into my PC as it’s hard loop water cooled.
Can’t put the 780 back in because I sold it!
I only ask as I don’t like the unknown with anything technical, I need answers!!
