New Gpu for around £250

Im currently running a 4850 512mb gpu and im looking for a new card to go with my new system.

Currently looking at the following cards.

GTX570
HD6970
HD6950

possibly
HD6870

which cards going to give me a bigger boost at 1680 *1050, I want the card to be able to play crysis 2 when it comes out as well

gtx 570 is the most powerful card out of those, what power supply do you have?

HD6950 is the one to get. I'd get the 570 over the 6970 any day but the 6950 is fantastic in my rig at 1900x1200. Your resolution is lower so not sure why you would want anything more powerful.

Grab yourself the HIS 6950 for £214 on TWO. The 6970 is not worth the extra money. Whether you want the 570 is up to you but again it is not worth the extra imo.

Also if you get the 6950 you can save some £ and then put a 2nd one in at a later date!

if money no object 570. i cant say no to a good nvidia card.
but i vote 6950. like is mentioned you can get 2 of those.

570 would be good, but I don't think you can get it at that price any more, it seems to have gone up.

Is your PSU ok to handle them?

it's really out of 6950 and 570 here. at 250-300 gtx 570 clear winner. if wana save a bitof cash then 6950.

To be honest, for 1680 res the 6950 would be more than powerful enough and pretty much handle anything you throw at it. GTX570/6970 would give you better frame rate in Crysis and Metro2033...but the question is if that's really worth paying £50-£70 extra...

well he did say crysis 2. and last i checked nvidia gave crytek 2m. so likely it'll run better for nvidia
