Overclock the living lights out of your CPU... as for GPU a cheap one would do hell even far back as the 280 Nvidia generation is fine... The GPU you have is fine mate WoW heavily CPU dependant...

That's the point the5770 is not ok it goes to over 100 degrees with the fan on 100% and a lot of the time it won't start up from cold - flickering then black screening I agree that it's more than ok for wow when running but mines a bit unwell , I just wondered if the 650 ti was of a similar or higher spec as I am going to need another very soon :( and the used 5770 seem to fetch similar prices to thd ti I sourced

Well thd 5770 is def almost dead so the choice is a second hand 5770 or a new 650 ti price is not that far apart from each other ,or any other options for £90 or under ?

Reseat the heat sink on the gpu give everything a good clean Re-Tim. GPU are hard to kill trust me i tried. 90 pounds look on Members Market for a second hand 6970 you might get lucky to find one at that price

I have tried that once a week or so ago but didn't have much effect maybe lowered temps by 3 degrees or so.
maybe I didn't tighten it enough wasn't sure how much pressure to apply?

I have the following
Intel Core i5-4570 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor
Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
and I am looking for a new graphics card ;)
my current one is a ATI hd 5770 which despite a clean and new paste runs at 100 degrees + and shuts down the pc if the side case door is on !
I am looking for something which uses less power ideally and gamewise is exclusively for playing wow.
budget is no more than £90 is their any options available to me ?

I would hang on a little and try and get a 2nd hand 7850, shouldn't be too much more than £100.

As peeps have said there's no system that will smash WOW under every perceivable circumstance.

Why do people keep recommending AMD cards for WOW when it runs better on Nvidia hardware. That 570 would be a great card, pretty much the same speed as a 7850 depending on title and much better for WOW.

This, the GTX570 was ~ equal performance with the HD7950 (non boost) in WoW, its one of the games where Nvidia hold a strong lead.
