Do you still need to remove and update drivers if you are replacing an identical card with one that is the model up? i.e EVGA 780Ti SC ACX > EVGA 980Ti SC ACX.

Thinking about it things like clock settings in afterburner will be different so probably best to remove drivers with something like driver cleaner, power off then install when booted into Windows
