New GPU please.

I have a £250 budget for a new GPU and I cant decide on the 680 or the 770
I generally buy a new gpu every 2 years so I want a card with legs , how loud will the reference boards be a full loads.
 
280x/770 is a tossup depending on which games you play. One way to look at it is if you want BF4, buy AMD, if you want AC4, buy nVidia. There really isn't much to choose between them.

At the end of the day, the 280x still got more vram and higher memory bus. Also generally speaking, it is faster overall when both cards are overclocked, and that's not even taking in the consideration that the 280x will further enlarge the gap in performance once new games start to support Mantle.

If someone MUST go green, they would be much better off save up/up budget and get a GTX780 as minimum.

Well I just cant break the habbit I had to have the 770, many many thanks everyone.
