New Gpu stutter problems

Hi all,

Recently purchased a new Gpu (RX 6650 XT) but unfortunately I'm having stutter problems in games. These stutters last a couple minutes when the game is first loaded up. I've had a little google around and I think it could be related to a shader cache/compilation issue? However, from what I've read, this should only happen the first time you load into a game and it should run as normal after that? I've reloaded the game multiple times and it does it every time, it goes from stuttering at around 90 frames and then jumps up to about 200 frames a couple of minutes later and stabilises there. I've tried a different Gpu (an old 1650 super) and games run fine, no stutter. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Apologies if I've posted in the wrong sub forum, it's been a few years since I last posted.

You'd be better off posting in graphic card forum but did you uninstall old drivers and install new ones
Yes I made sure to remove the Nvidia drivers before installing the new card and Amd drivers. If a mod sees this thread would you kindly move it to the graphics card forum please. Thanks.

Is it just a specific game or is it all games?
I've only tested three games so far. "Overwatch", "Diablo 2 resurrected" and "Aphsalt 9 legends". Aphsalt legends stuttered when I first tried it but after that it seems to run fine. Overwatch and Diablo stutter every time, just for the first few minutes.

I had loads of wierd un explained problems going from an 980ti - 6950xt, only way to solve it for me was to re install windows. Was like nvidia was holding onto my system for dear life.

Soon as reinstall was done instant improvement in game and huge improvement in benchmark scores.
Why can't anything pc related ever just run smoothly the first time? Would make things so much less frustrating :p
