New GPU time 'RTX 2080 S'

Long overdue a new GPU to play with xD

Seems an absolute beast so far. Good temps / noise too.

Noticed IDLE power usage is real high, 'sometimes close to like 50Watts if web browsing etc', around 40W at total IDLE desktop, with dual monitors.

Anyone else noticed this on RTX cards ? Is there a fix ?

How many monitors do you own and what are their resolutions? This is standard behaviour a long-known issue with Nvidia GPUs if you have two (or more) high-resolution displays attached

Using a 2080 non-S here and with browser open or not it's 25.6-26.9W mostly, same as desktop. Monitors are 1440P and 1080P(flipped vertically)

I first saw it when I had a 4K and a 1200p monitor on a 780 Ti.
