Hello all, that time for a new gpu. Current gpu is 560ti 1gig. Been looking at the 770. Just wondering what you guys think? Money wise no more really than £300. Games I play , wow, cod and gonna get bf4 soon.

Monitor is 1900 Rez. But maybe in a few months looking at a new monitor and higher Rez.

Any advice is appreciated. :)

Tough time to buy really.

With the AMD's you get mantle, but it's unproven.

With the 770's which look good for the price, they are only 2gb. Not a problem at your res but still something to consider.

New monitor and higher res? Maybe the 3Gb 280's?

I would say the 280x but the mining craze has bumped the prices. Its a shame really.

Id try and grab a secondhand 780 you may be able to get one for around £300 (off the people who have gone for a 290x or 780ti).

Yes sorry i did mean 1900 by 1200. Yeah i was thinking just by looking, things seem a bit strange.

Generally like to buy new as of the warranty, so i will see whats what. The amd 290 custom chips that are comming. Defo worth the wait would you say ? If i have to wait a little bit thats not a major issue.

if you can wait till very late Dec/Jan, then yes, custom 290 is def worth it.

GPU chips are the same, it's all about custom coolers.

The problem with the 290 is the price. Unless it settles down, the custom cards will be priced accordingly with the 780, so you have a choice of Mantle and Trueaudio or PhysX and G-Sync options.

I say wait it out till the prices settle, and see what is what. Prices from both camps are crazy high at the moment.
