A new core was posted by the Pande group today. You can manually install at will.
It's a bit slower than we're used to, but seems to be much more stable, especially on 8800's.

Stop the client, delete your current .exe and copy this in, then restart.
NOTE: Some of the earlier posts say it if failed on several types of machines, that was solved, as they linked the .exe to a compressed binary, it's fixed, Im running it on two 8800's now.
Current Benchmarks: Clocks: 975 / 1907 / 972 (Core, Shaders, Memory). Shaders do more for PPD than Core MHZ. In fact, some are reducing their Core to bring heat figures down.
