New Graphic Card question

Hi all,

just a bought a hp pavillion m9070 which comes with a nvidia 8500 gt, not very happy with its overall performance and looking to buy a new one,

i have looked at the 9600gt series and the his ati hd3870xt,

question is: do they both have hd connection, so i can connect via hd cable to my 22'' lcd widescreen, and wich one is less noisy ?

basicaly looking for power and less noise.,,

That is the back of the 9600GT.

The 3870 cards have a DVI to HDMI adapter with the card. I got one with my 2900Pro.

ATI cards are better at HD playback although I do not know for sure if the 9600GT has improved features.

If you are wanting to play games with the card and like AA then Nvidia would be the wise choice. If you don't care about AA and want the best HD playback (that I know of) then go for the 3870.

Id go for the 3870 to, as it can also carry the sound over the HDMI which the 9600's can't, well im not 100% that they can't, and the 3870 is just as good as the 9600 GT, if not better gaming wise, plus they are amazing value now at only £111.
